Melinda Hayes

President and Chief Executive Officer

Melinda founded M Hayes in January of 1999 and currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. Melinda is responsible for the development and management of the executive functions of the company. She has more than 27 years of experience in the field of disability and healthcare management. Melinda provides strong leadership for the company specific to the providing of top quality services, developing a strong code of ethics and proving value to the M Hayes customer base.

Melinda has a M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling from the Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Certified Disability Management Specialist and is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor with the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs.

Francis “Jerry” DeVilbiss

Chief Financial Officer

Jerry joined M Hayes in 2004 and serves in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer. In joining M Hayes Jerry brought with him 19 years of experience managing contracts for such companies as Amtrak, Metro-North Commuter Railroad and the U.S Government. He is responsible for all the fiscal affairs of M Hayes.

Jerry received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Baltimore. He also is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Maryland.

William R. Van Wambeke

General Counsel

Bill joined M Hayes in January of 2006 as General Counsel. He has twenty-five years of legal and insurance defense experience on a local and national scale. He has worked for such companies as St. Paul Traveler’s, Zurich Insurance Company and Wausau Insurance. Bill is recognized in the industry as an expert in workers' compensation legal matters including litigation management, regulatory/compliance issues and Medicare compliance. In his position, Bill is responsible for all of M Hayes legal affairs and oversees the Human Resources Department.

Bill graduated from the University of Maryland, School of Law with a Juris Doctor with honors. He also attended the George Washington University School of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences where he obtained a BS in Medical Science. He is a Board-certified Physician Assistant with eight years experience in emergency medicine and occupational health.

Gary Coggins

Director, Business Operations

Gary Coggins joined M Hayes in 2002 and serves as the Director of Business Operations. Gary brought 21 years of management experience and has an extensive success record in operational management for several national and international companies. He is responsible for the day-to-day administrative and operational workflow of M Hayes Gary earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Towson University. Gary is also a veteran of the Army National Guard.

Hal Bronstein

Executive Vice President
Director, Professional Services

Hal joined M Hayes in 1999 and and serves as the Director of Professional Services over the Northern Division. Hal is responsible for the management and direction of all medical and vocational services for this division. With 19 years of managed care / case management experience, Hal brings strong leadership to the Northern Division with an emphasis on best practices and outcomes. Hal received a Master degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Towson State University.

He is a Certified Disability Management Specialist, a Virginia Certified Rehabilitation Provider, and an U.S. Department of Labor Certified Rehabilitation Counselor.

Jonathan Nickey

Vice President
Director, Client Solutions

Jon joined M Hayes in 2005 and serves as the Director of Client Solutions. Jon is directly responsible for the oversight and management of M Hayes sales personnel, and the growth of M Hayes on a nationa lscale.

With over 17 years of sales and operations experience in claims and managed care services on a national level, Jon provides to M Hayes extensive skills in program design, client service management, and implementing / managing large client programs.

Jon graduated from Susquehanna University with a Bachelor’s in Economics.

Helen Froehlich

Executive Vice President
Director, Professional Services

Helen joined M Hayes in 1999 and currently serves as the Director of Professional Services for the M Hayes Southern Division. Helen is responsible for the management and direction of all medical and vocationalservices the M Hayes Southern Division. She has 16 years of progressive management experience in the field of case management and has been a driving force within the company in developing the M Hayes Standards of Excellence and quality assurance processes.

Helen graduated from the University of Scranton with a M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Qualified Rehabilitation Professional. Helen is also a Certified Rehabilitation Provider in Virginia.
